1. Who we are
This service ("FixPix") is operated by Richard Struck ("we", "us", "our"), acting as the data controller for personal data processed through the FixPix website and app.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account data: email address, password (hashed), and authentication identifiers.
- Uploaded content: the photos you submit for restoration and any notes you provide (e.g. eye colour, colourization preferences).
- Order data: credits purchased, restoration history, and references to transactions held by our payment provider.
- Support data: messages you send us.
- Technical data: IP address, device/browser information, log data, and basic usage telemetry.
3. How we use your data and legal basis
- To create your account and provide the restoration service (performance of a contract).
- To process orders and manage credits (performance of a contract).
- To prevent fraud and abuse and to secure the service (legitimate interests).
- To respond to support requests (legitimate interests / contract).
- To comply with legal and tax obligations (legal obligation).
- To improve the product (legitimate interests).
4. Sharing your data
We share personal data only with:
- Our payment partner, who acts as Merchant of Record and handles payment processing, billing, tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds on our behalf.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that store data and run the service on our behalf.
- AI processing providers used solely to perform the photo restoration you request.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
- Authorities where required by law.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers are located outside your country. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
6. Retention
We keep account and order data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Uploaded photos and restored outputs are retained so you can re-download them; you can request deletion at any time. Data no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Subject to your local law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent. Where applicable (UK/EEA), you may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. We aim to respond within one month.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and isolated storage to protect your data.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies required to keep you signed in and to operate the service. We do not use advertising cookies.
